Six more COVID-19 recoveries in Sarnia-Lambton

Another six people have recovered from COVID-19 in Sarnia-Lambton.

Lambton Public Health reported on its website Friday night that 133 people have recovered from the virus, up from 127 reported Thursday night.

One new case was reported, bringing the total of confirmed cases to 194.

To date, there have been 16 deaths. The two most recent victims were residents at Vision Nursing Home in Sarnia.

The long-term care home is still dealing with an outbreak after four residents and two staff members tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Lambton Public Health has received the results from 3,836 COVID-19 tests, of which only 5 per cent have come back positive.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
