Man facing drug charges

A man is in trouble with the law after a traffic stop in Chatham.

On Saturday, police saw the man driving on Grand Avenue East even though his licence was suspended.

Officers initiated a traffic stop and while investigating, located suspected meth in his vehicle.

He was arrested, charged accordingly and released with a future court date.

Arrests on warrants

CK police were able to nab three people on Saturday who were wanted on warrants.

In the area of Raleigh Street in Chatham, a woman was located and arrested on outstanding warrants for theft and possession. She was released with a future court date.

Another woman was located on Wellington Street in Chatham. She is known to police and was wanted on outstanding warrants for failing to comply with her release conditions. After her arrest, she was released with a court date. 

A third female was located and arrested on Saturday on multiple warrants. She was held for a bail hearing at the police station.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
