Grey Bruce reports one new institutional outbreak, another over

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is reporting one new institutional outbreak at a long-term care facility and has declared another outbreak over.

An outbreak at Golden Dawn Senior Citizen Home was declared May 9, the third long-term care home in the county to be hit by a COVID-19 outbreak, while an outbreak at Brucelea Haven long-term care is now over. An outbreak was declared back at the Walkerton long-term care facility April 27 after two staff tested positive for COVID-19.

An outbreak was also declared at Parkview Manor in Chesley May 3.

The health unit's latest COVID update came down at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, showing 90 confirmed cases, unchanged from Friday, and 71 recovered.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
