New COVID-19 outbreak declared at Goderich long term care home

Huron Perth Public Health is reporting one new case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in the past 24 hours, for a total case count of 50.

An outbreak has been declared at Maitland Manor in Goderich, where the new case was detected.

In the meantime, an outbreak at Exeter Villa was declared over on Thursday.

23 healthcare workers in the region tested positive, but all of them have recovered.

Five people have died from the novel coronavirus in Huron and Perth.

No new cases have been reported in Wellington, Bruce or Grey counties in the past 24 hours.
