Break-in suspect drives off in stolen Corolla

Chatham-Kent police are asking for tips from the public as they continue to investigate a break-in in Dresden where a car was stolen.

Police said sometime between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m. Thursday, someone forced their way into a garage on Meadowvale Line and took off with a 2000 Toyota Corolla that is valued at around $2,000.

The damage caused by the break-in was estimated at $500.

Two arrested, two released

A 27-year-old Chatham man who was wanted for failing to comply with his release conditions has been arrested.

Police said they picked him up on Thursday, charged him, and later released him again pending a future court date.

In a separate case, a 29-year-old man was arrested for violating his release conditions. He was also later released pending a future court date.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
