Minto to open all parks and certain amenities May 25

The Town of Minto has announced that it will soon open all municipal parks and other select amenities amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Minto announced that starting Monday, all municipal parks will reopen for public use. They will also open certain amenities with certain limitations, such as ball diamonds, soccer fields, green spaces, park benches, pedestrian bridges, sports pads, tennis courts, basketball courts, shuffleboard courts, lawn bowling greens, pickleball venues as well as the currently open walking trails.

Things like playgrounds, swimming pools, splash pads and pavilions will remain closed.

When these parks and amenities open, there will still be rules such as gatherings of no more than five people, staying home if you feel unwell, physical distancing of two metres and online registration to use the shuffleboard court and pickleball venue.

You can register for that or get more information on the Town of Minto website.
