Tillsonburg RONA employee tests positive for COVID-19

The Moffatt & Powell RONA store in Tillsonburg has reopened after one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week.

The independent affiliated-dealer at 268 Tillson Ave. learned of the worker's diagnosis on Wednesday. The store was immediately closed for "extensive cleaning and disinfecting" and reopened Friday morning.

The employee hasn't been at the store since Tuesday.

RONA officials advise anyone who visited the store between May 15 to 19 to monitor for symptoms of the virus for 14 days and call Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000 if needed.

The store has been limiting the number of people allowed inside at one time and operating with physical distancing measures in place. It has also increased cleaning and disinfection procedures, especially on high touch surfaces like handles, phones, workstations, credit card devices, and shopping cart handles.
