Four additional COVID-19 cases in London-Middlesex, one new death

Another COVID-19 related death is being reported in the London-area.

The death, along with four new cases of the virus, was reported on Sunday afternoon by the Middlesex London Health Unit.

The latest person to pass away was a woman in her eighties who was associated with an area retirement home.

The total number of people who have died due to the virus in the region now sits at 49. Meanwhile, the total number of cases is now at 499. Of those cases, 363 are listed as being recovered.

Elsewhere, the total number of confirmed cases across the province rose by 1.8 per cent on Sunday, bringing the caseload to 25,500.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
