Updated Midwestern Ontario COVID-19 case numbers

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health reports two new cases of COVID-19 in Wellington for a total of 64 cases in the county.

Huron Perth Public Health reports 51 confirmed cases of the virus which is no change from the previous day.

There were no new cases reported by Grey Bruce Public Health in the latest situation report. There have been 91 lab-confirmed cases, with 82 recovered. 24 health workers were positive for the virus.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
