New COVID-19 cases reported in Wellington County

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health lists two new cases of COVID-19 in Wellington County since Monday, for a total of 70.  Of those, 47 are resolved.

The COVID-19 testing centre in Mount Forest assessed 515 people between April 20 and May 29. They tested 507 people. 1.2 per cent of those came back positive.

Two people are in hospital, one is in the ICU, and 13 are self-isolated. Two people have died in Wellington County since the outbreak began.

There are no outbreaks in Wellington, Grey, Huron, Perth, or Bruce County long-term care homes.

No new cases were reported in Grey, Bruce, Huron, or Perth Counties on Tuesday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
