Wellington North Farmers' Market opening soon

The Wellington North Farmers’ Market, will open on Saturday June 20th with the approval of the Public Health department .

Physical distancing and other Public Health protocols such as handwashing and sanitizing stations will be in place

People are also asked to consider wearing a mask. Vendors will be properly distanced and “enter here” and “exit here” markers will be well displayed and strictly enforced. The Farmers’ Market enteres its 7th year of providine connection between farmer and consumer.

This year the market is moving to Saturday mornings and will run June 20th – September 26th from 8:30am to noon in the parking lot at the Victory Community Centre in Mount

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
