Six new COVID-19 cases, no additional deaths in London

The Middlesex London Health Unit has confirmed six new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday.

The health unit said the number of deaths in the region remains at 56, while the case count now sits at 555.

Of the total number of cases, 102 are related to long-term care homes in the area while 67 are related to retirement homes. So far, 24 deaths have occurred and long-term care homes and 12 at retirement homes.

Outbreaks of the virus continue at three local long-term care facilities – Chelsey Park Retirement Community, Kensington Village and Sisters of St. Joseph.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
