COVID-19 numbers tracked over the weekend

The Grey Bruce Health Unit did not report any new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday and just one new case on Saturday.

To date there have been 99 cases of the novel coronavirus identified in Grey and Bruce an 88 of those people have recovered. The bulk of cases are in Owen Sound with 47.

Huron Perth Public Health is reporting one new case of the coronavirus in Huron County. There are 55 cases total in the two counties. Five people have died 46 have recovered.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health did not update its case numbers over the weekend.

Provincially, there were 415 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday and more than half of those are from a previous reporting delay. The total number of cases has reached 30,617 with 24,252 marked as resolved.

The total number of deaths sits at 2,426

The province has also extended emergency orders to June 19.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
