Shell Canada donates $20K to Bluewater Health fund

The Bluewater Health Foundation COVID-19 Fund has grown to over $330,000.

The latest donation came from Shell Canada for $20,000.

In a news release the company stated, as the community faces extraordinary circumstances due to the pandemic, Shell knows it is crucial to support local hospitals at this time.

“We believe it is important to support our community during these uncertain times,” said Guy Hackwell, General Manager of Shell’s Sarnia Refinery. “And it is vital not only for everyone to have access to health care but for the hospital to have the resources needed to address the current challenges."

The emergency fund was launched at the end of March, to support frontline healthcare professionals in the diagnosis and treatment of patients during the pandemic and beyond.
