COVID-19 caseload unchanged since Sunday

Lambton Public Health reported another four recovered cases of COVID-19 Tuesday night.

The health unit says the number of recoveries is up to 233, while the number of confirmed cases is unchanged from Sunday night at 270.

The death toll remains at 25. Over half of the related deaths in the community have been linked to outbreaks at seniors facilities.

Bluewater Health reported Tuesday that 11 patients in hospital are confirmed to have COVID-19, and 20 patients are suspected of having it with tests pending.

Since the pandemic started, Lambton Public Health has received the results from 8,474 tests and 97 per cent have come back negative for the deadly virus.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
