UPDATE: New active cases of COVID-19 in Midwestern Ontario

A few new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed late today in Midwestern Ontario.

Huron Perth Public Health reported one new positive lab test today, which is that area's only active case. The new case is in Perth County.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit reports 2 new cases for a total of 5 active cases and no hospitalizations. One new case is in Huron Kinloss and one is in Blue Mountain.

Wellington County has 15 active cases, with one person in the hospital. 93% of the 568 tests conducted in Mount Forest since the assessment centre opened were negative.

Today, there were no new cases reported in Midwestern Ontario.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
