Hanover to celebrate Canada Day with virtual party

In light of COVID-19, the Town of Hanover will be celebrating Canada Day in a unique way this year along with many other municipalities nationwide.

Hanover will be hosting a virtual Canada Day celebration this year, which will be produced in partnership with Wightman TV and aired on July 1st at 7 pm. Hanover council wants the community to get involved and have set up a drop box so residents can submit photos and videos. You can submit photos and videos of you and your family celebrating our nation by singing "O, Canada" or by having kids answer one of the town's ‘Kids Say What’ challenge questions.

For more information or to find out where to submit content, please check the Town of Hanover social media platforms or visit www.hanover.ca/Canada-day. You can also email or call Hanover Programs Supervisor Laura Christen at 519-364-2310 ext. 2128 or by email at lchristen@hanover.ca.
