UPDATE: Police investigate robbery in Ridgetown

Chatham-Kent police are investigating after a home invasion style robbery that took place early Sunday morning.

Investigators said shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday, three men with bats allegedly entered an apartment on Victoria Avenue in Ridgetown, knocking over the homeowner as she unlocked the door.

According to police, the three men then assaulted two men inside. The suspects had fled the scene by the time officers arrived.

The two victims sustained serious head injuries as a result of the incident and were taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for treatment.

The investigation is ongoing and there are currently no suspects.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
