Cases of COVID-19 increase in Midwestern Ontario

A couple of new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in midwestern Ontario.

Grey Bruce Public Health reported one new case Monday, located in Georgian Bluffs.

There are 5 active cases in Grey Bruce out of 102 confirmed patients.

Huron Perth Public Health reports 4 active cases of a total of 56 positive tests. No new cases were reported Monday.

One new case was recorded in Wellington County for a total of 73. Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public health reports 14 cases are still active in Wellington County. One person is in hospital.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
