Huron-Kinloss cancels a number of summer programs

The Township of Huron-Kinloss has decided to cancel a few summer programs due to ongoing health and safety concerns regarding COVID-19.

Huron-Kinloss announced in a release on June 15th that the Ripley Wolf Cub Summer Adventure Camp will not run this year. The township notes it was an extremely difficult decision. As well, the Ripley Summer Sports Committee has cancelled the soccer season, and no decision has been made as of yet on the baseball season.

In addition, the Lucknow Youth Summer Sports Camp is also cancelled for the 2020 season and all Lucknow summer sports have been cancelled.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
