No new COVID cases reported Monday night

There's been no change to the local COVID-19 caseload over the last 24 hours.

Lambton Public Health says the number of confirmed cases remains at 276 since Sunday night.

The health unit says as of Monday night, 235 people have recovered from the virus and the death toll stands at 25.

Since the pandemic started, Lambton Public Health has received the results of 9,344 tests, 97 per cent of which have come back negative for COVID-19.

Bluewater Health reported Tuesday that there are no COVID-positive patients at the Sarnia hospital. There are still 11 in hospital suspected of having the virus with tests pending.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
