COVID caseload climbs two, recoveries up three

Three more people in the community have beaten COVID-19.

Lambton Public Health says as of Tuesday night, the number of recovered cases is at 238. Two more confirmed cases of the virus are also reported this morning bringing the total to 278.

The death toll remains unchanged at 25.

The health unit has now received the results from 9,633 tests, of which 97 per cent have come back negative for COVID-19.

There are currently no patients in hospital confirmed to have the virus according to Bluewater Health. The hospital says 16 patients are suspected of having it, however, tests are still pending.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
