Bruce County cancels more hazardous waste collection dates

Bruce County council has decided to cancel more household hazardous waste collection dates due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a release on June 19th, Bruce County says the decision is in the best interest of the safety of residents and staff. The county hopes to have procedures in place to do household hazardous waste collections in August, September and October.

The collection dates that are cancelled for July are as follows:

July 4, 2020: South Bruce Municipal Building, Mildmay July 11, 2020: Kincardine Public Works Yard July 18, 2020: South Bruce Peninsula Works Garage, Wiarton July 18, 2020: St. Edmund’s Landfill Site, Tobermory July 25, 2020: Bruce County Garage, Paisley

Bruce County will notify residents if more household hazardous waste collection dates are cancelled.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
