Zero new COVID-19 cases, deaths reported in London-Middlesex

The Middlesex London Health Unit is reporting no new daily cases or deaths related to COVID-19 for Saturday.

The total number of confirmed cases in the region since the outbreak began remains at 603.

The death toll in the London area stands at 57, while the number of resolved cases has increased to 476 over the last 24 hours.

There are currently two active outbreaks at local long-term care and retirement homes. Out of the total case count in London-Middlesex, 176 are related to long-term care and retirement homes.

As of Saturday, there are 100,629 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Canada and 33,095 cases in Ontario, with 2,564 deaths.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
