Three new COVID-19 cases in London-Middlesex

Public health officials in the London-area reported three additional cases of COVID-19 in the region on Sunday.

The most recent cases brings the area’s total number since the start of the pandemic to 606.

Meanwhile, it was another day of no new deaths related to the virus in London-Middlesex. The death toll remains at 57, with 37 of those connected to long-term care homes or retirement facilities in the area.

There continues to be workplace outbreaks at Peoplecare Oak Crossing and Westmount Gardens.

So far, 477 individuals in the London-area have recovered from the virus.

There were 175 new cases reported in Ontario on Sunday, representing just a 0.5 per cent increase over the previous day. Provincially, the case count now sits at 33,476

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
