Recovered COVID cases climb three

Sarnia-Lambton's COVID caseload is still at 285, unchanged since June 20.

As of Friday night, the number of recovered cases are at 252, up three over the past 24 hours, while the number of deaths sits at 25, unchanged since June 6.

Lambton Public Health has completed over 11, 800 tests -- 97.6 per cent have been negative.

Currently, there is one active institutional outbreak locally at Afton Park Place Long Term Care Community in Sarnia where one staff member has tested positive. On Saturday, Bluewater Health declared its outbreak over after four staff members tested positive.

Since June 15, the Sarnia hospital has not had any COVID-positive patients — there are currently 24 patients in hospital suspected of having the virus with tests pending.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
