UPDATE: Amber Alert cancelled, child found safe

Niagara Regional Police have cancelled an Amber Alert for a six-year-old boy.

The alert was sent out early Sunday afternoon for the six-year-old boy who was believed to have been with his father.

Around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, police confirmed on Twitter that the boy had been located safely, adding that a suspect was in custody.

More details are expected to be released at a later time.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
