Changes for Hanover Hospital COVID-19 Assessment Centre

The COVID-19 Assessment Centre at Hanover & District Hospital will no longer operate on weekends, but it will continue to operate Monday to Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Starting on July 2, people will need to call patient registration to make an appointment to ensure physical distancing. The Centre will be accessed through the main entrance starting July 6. Volumes will be monitored and hours may be adapted if needed.

Hanover Hospital will continue to offer specific hours to screen staff at local nursing homes and retirement home partners.

Effective July 2, 2020, patients who visit the Lab at Hanover & District Hospital will be required to have an appointment to ensure proper physical distancing for patient safety.

To make appointments patients can call Patient Registration/Appointment Booking Office at 519-364-2340 ext. 260 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Please ensure you have your health card ready when calling.

All individuals coming to the hospital/COVID-19 Assessment Center are required to wear a mask or face covering and are encouraged to bring their own with them.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
