Grey Bruce health ends COVID-19 outbreak status in long term care home

Grey Bruce Public health has declared the COVID-19 outbreak at Elgin Abbey over.  There was no further transmission to any case past the first case.

There were no new cases reported Monday in Grey Bruce. There are nine active cases.

Huron Perth Public health reported no change again today in the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus. There are no active cases in the two counties. There have been a total of 57 cases, and five fatalities since the outbreak began.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public health reports Wellington County has three active cases, all recovering at home. There were no new cases reported today, with the total count standing at 76 including two fatalities.

Guelph has one new case for a total of 27 active cases, including two hospitalizations. There was one new case in Dufferin County, where there are twelve active cases, and no hospitalizations.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
