Single new COVID-19 case in London-Middlesex

For the second day in a row, only one COVID-19 case was recorded in the London-area.

Middlesex London Health Unit officials reported the additional case on Sunday afternoon, bringing the total in the region to 676.

Meanwhile, another case was listed as being recovered. So far, 587 people have recovered from the virus in the London-area. There were no new deaths or outbreaks reported in the region on Sunday.

Across Ontario, there was a 0.3 per cent increase in cases reported over the past 24 hours. The provincial case count is now at 39,449, with 35,359 cases listed as resolved. The total number of cases in Canada currently sits at 116,599.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
