COVID caseload and recoveries inch higher

Lambton Public Health is reporting one more case of COVID-19 in the community, as well as two more recoveries over the past 24 hours.

The health unit said as of Monday night, there have been 319 confirmed cases of the virus and 270 of those have been deemed resolved.

The death toll remains unchanged since June 6 and stands at 25.

Results from 17,700 tests have been received and 98.2 per cent of have been negative for COVID-19.

In its daily report Monday, Bluewater Health said there are currently no patients in hospital with the virus. There were 14 patients awaiting tests results including pre-surgical screening.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
