Health officials tracing COVID-19 in Perth East

A restaurant in Perth East has been temporarily closed as a precaution after a positive case of COVID-19 associated with the business.

Anna Mae's Bakery and Restaurant in Millbank is temporarily closed as Huron Perth Public Health conducts an investigation. Officials said that based on current information, the risk to the public is low.

When Huron Perth Public Health receives a report of a confirmed positive case of COVID-19, public health staff immediately begin to conduct thorough contact tracing related to the case. And it includes contacting each person identified as being at risk.

Medical Officer of Health Dr. Miriam Klassen said this decision was "made out of an abundance of caution," and she appreciates the support of the restaurant operator as more information is gathered.
