Single new case of COVID-19 reported by Grey Bruce

Grey Bruce Public Health reported one new case of COVID-19 on Sunday.

The health unit is reporting a total of three active cases in the community now.

There is also currently one preliminary positive case awaiting confirmation. An outbreak at Trillium Court has been declared over, and there are no other COVID-19 outbreaks at any area long-term care facilities.

Overall, the total number of confirmed cases has climbed to 123, 114 have recovered, and six others have been referred to other health units. Grey Bruce has had zero coronavirus related deaths since the pandemic began.

In Huron and Perth, there are four active cases being monitored as of Friday according to Huron Perth Public Health.

Ontario confirmed 149 new cases over the weekend. 79 on Sunday, which is a 0.2 per cent increase from Saturday's total of 70. The province has now had a full week of reporting fewer than 100 cases daily.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
