COVID cases increase one, recoveries climb two

One more case of COVID-19 is being reported in Sarnia-Lambton, as well as two more recovered cases over the past 24 hours.

As of Monday night, Lambton Public Health says 290 of the 327 confirmed cases have been deemed resolved.

The death toll stands at 25, unchanged in over two months, and there are currently 12 active cases.

The health unit said the number of test results received to date have topped 19,390, of which 98.3 have been negative for the virus.

Bluewater Health reported on its site Monday that there are no positive patients in hospital, and 18 are awaiting test results, including pre-surgical screening.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
