COVID figures unchanged

There's been no change to the local COVID-19 caseload in the last 24 hours.

Lambton Public Health said 293 of the 327 confirmed cases have been deemed resolved and the death toll stands at 25.

Four of the nine active cases are linked to a recent outbreak at an unnamed workplace.

To date, the health unit has received results from 19, 635 tests, 98.3 per cent of which have been negative for the deadly virus.

On its website, Bluewater Health reported on Thursday that there are no positive patients in hospital and 18 are awaiting test results, including pre-surgical screening.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
