COVID caseload climbs by four

The number of COVID-19 cases has gone up in the last 24 hours.

Lambton Public Health reported four more confirmed cases of the virus Thursday night for a total of 331, bringing the number of active cases to 13.

The number of resolved cases is unchanged at 293 and the death toll stands at 25.

The health unit said to date nearly 20,000 test results have been received. Just over 98 per cent of the 19,889 tests have been negative for COVID-19.

On its website Friday, Bluewater Health reported that there are no positive patients in hospital and 13 are awaiting test results, including pre-surgical screening.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
