Popular Canatara Park animal farm reopens

The Children's Animal Farm at Sarnia's Canatara Park reopens to the public with restrictions as of Friday.

The farm has been closed since March due to the pandemic.

Sarnia and District Humane Society Executive Director Donna Pyette said gates open at 10 a.m.

Only 100 people will be permitted on the farm at once and must sign in for COVID-19 tracking purposes.

She said people coming in together are asked to stay together and social distance from others.

The barn will remain closed to the public because physical distancing is difficult inside.

The farm will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Sunday, August 16.

From August 19 on, it will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and closed Monday and Tuesday.
