Windsor-Essex sees two new COVID-19 cases

For the second day in a row, just two additional COVID-19 cases were reported in Windsor-Essex.

The latest cases were reported Sunday morning by the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit. One is travel related while one is from close contact with a confirmed case.

The case count is now at 2,418.

In addition, three more cases were listed as resolved on Sunday, bringing the total number of people who have recovered from the virus in Windsor-Essex to 2,253.

There remained three workplace outbreaks in the agriculture sector and one in the manufacturing sector.

Meanwhile, provincial health officials reported 81 new cases on Sunday, a 0.2 per cent increase from the previous day.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
