Lambton COVID recoveries hit 300

The number of recovered cases of COVID-19 locally has reached 300.

Lambton Public Health said 300 of the 336 confirmed cases have been deemed resolved and there are 11 active cases.

The death toll stands at 25, which has remained unchanged since June 6.

No new cases of the virus have been reported since Sunday, August 16.

Bluewater Health reported on its website on Friday that there are no COVID-19 positive patients in hospital and 23 are awaiting test results, including pre-surgical screening.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
