Recovered COVID cases climb three

Sarnia-Lambton's COVID-19 figures took a step in the right direction over the past 24 hours, with three more recovered cases reported Saturday.

Lambton Public Health's latest update shows 304 of the 336 confirmed cases have been resolved.

The most recent confirmed case was reported August 16 and the most recent death related to the virus was reported June 6 -- there also hasn't been any COVID-19 hospitalizations locally for over two months.

Provincially, 108 new cases were reported on Saturday, a 0.3 per cent increase over Friday. The number of total cases in Ontario is now at 41,287, with 37,487 of them listed as recovered.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
