Two new COVID-19 cases in London-Middlesex

Public health officials in the London-area have confirmed two new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

Sunday’s newly confirmed cases bring the area’s total number since the start of the pandemic to 721.

Meanwhile, one additional person in the region recovered from the virus from Saturday to Sunday. A total of 632 people in the London-area who previously tested positive for COVID-19 have since recovered.

Southwestern Public Health reported three new cases in Elgin County. The region's total case count now sits at 247.

Provincially, there were 115 new cases on Sunday, a 0.3 per cent increase from the previous day.

According to Health Minister Christine Elliot, 29 of Ontario’s 34 public health units reported five or fewer cases on Sunday.
