August 25 COVID-19 Situation Report

Huron Perth Public Health reported 27 active cases of COVID-19 Tuesday. One case was transferred to another health unit yesterday. The number of active cases Monday was 29. So far there have been 115 cases of the novel coronavirus in Huron and Perth since the pandemic began. There are currently no outbreaks in long term care homes.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health reported one new confirmed case of COVID-19 Tuesday located in Wellington County. There are now two active cases in Wellington County.

Grey Bruce Public Health Unit reported no new cases in its latest update, and there are now no active cases in the region.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
