COVID figures unchanged in Sarnia-Lambton

There's been no change to the local COVID-19 caseload since Monday night.

Lambton Public Health says 309 of the 338 confirmed cases have been deemed resolved and the death toll stands at 25.

Since the pandemic started, 129 of the cases or 40 per cent, have been a close contact of a known case while 113, or 35 per cent have been linked to an outbreak.

Bluewater Health reported on its website Wednesday that there are no patients confirmed to have the virus in hospital. There are 24 patients, including pre-surgical screenings, awaiting test results.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
