Local COVID caseload holding steady

The local COVID-19 caseload is holding steady.

Lambton Public Health reported no new cases or recoveries since Monday night.

The local health agency said 309 of the 338 confirmed cases have been deemed resolved, and the death toll stands at 25.

There are four active cases in Sarnia-Lambton.

Bluewater Health reported on its website Wednesday that there are no patients confirmed to have the virus in hospital. There are 24 patients, including pre-surgical screenings, awaiting test results.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
