No change to local COVID caseload

Over the last week, Lambton Public Health has received results from 1, 114 COVID-19 tests.

No new cases have been reported since Sunday night, holding steady at 338.

The local health agency says 309 of the confirmed cases have been deemed resolved and the death toll is unchanged at 25.

To date, the health unit has completed 22,419 tests, of which 98.5 per cent have been negative for the virus.

Bluewater Health reported on its website Friday that there are no patients confirmed to have the virus in hospital. There are 16 patients, including pre-surgical screenings, awaiting test results.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
