Multiple areas report no new cases of COVID-19

Health units are reporting no new COVID-19 cases in London-Middlesex or Elgin and Oxford Counties.

The Middlesex-London Health Unit reported no change in the total case count of 728 on Sunday. The total went up slightly on Saturday after two new cases were confirmed.

The total number of recovered cases is 652 and the total number of deaths related to the novel coronavirus remains unchanged at 57.

The Southwestern Public Health Unit also reported no new cases with the total case count holding steady at 254.

Across Ontario, 112 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Sunday. Health Minister Christine Elliot said the number of new cases represents a 0.3 per cent increase as the province processed nearly 25,000 tests.

The province also reported one new death, which brings the death toll in Ontario to 2,810.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
