New COVID-19 cases reported Monday in Midwestern Ontario

The Grey Bruce Public Health Unit reported one new case of COVID-19 in the region Monday.  The case is located in Owen Sound.   It's the only active case in the Grey Bruce.

Huron Perth Public Health reports four new positive COVID-19 tests for a total of eight active cases Monday.

The new cases are all asymptomatic health care workers discovered through surveillance testing. Further public health investigation revealed a low likelihood of active infection.

Public health initiated repeat testing and the investigation is still pending.

Three of the new cases are in Perth County, while one is in Huron County.

There was one newly confirmed case of COVID-19 in Wellington County Monday. In all Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health reported 19 active cases, with four of them in Wellington County.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
