COVID caseload unchanged in Sarnia-Lambton

There has been no change to Sarnia-Lambton's COVID-19 caseload over the past 24 hours.

Lambton Public Health's update Friday night still shows 347 confirmed cases, including 25 deaths and three active cases.

The community's most recent COVID fatality was reported nearly four months ago on June 6, and the most recent hospitalization locally due to COVID was reported June 15.

Ontario reported 732 new cases Friday morning, the biggest single day increase in cases of the pandemic, topping Monday's mark of 700 new cases.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
