Five additional COVID-19 cases in London-area

London-Middlesex health officials reported five new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday.

The latest cases bring the regional case count to 888.

Sixteen additional recoveries were also reported on Saturday. So far, 770 individuals in the London-area have recovered from the virus. Fifty-Seven people have passed away from COVID-19 in the region, a number that has not changed in several months.

Meanwhile, Southwestern Public Health, the health unit covering St. Thomas, Woodstock and Elgin and Oxford counties, reported zero new cases on Saturday with the number remaining at 270.

Across the province, 653 additional cases were reported on Saturday.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
