Seven additional COVID-19 cases reported in London-area

London-Middlesex saw just over half a dozen new COVID-19 cases on Sunday.

The local health unit reported seven new cases, bringing the regional case count to 895.

Twelve more people recovered from the virus over the past 24 hours. A total of 782 of the total cases are listed at being resolved.

Of the total cases, 33 were in the ICU, 84 were hospitalized but did not require the ICU and 778 were never hospitalized.

There remained four COVID-19 institution outbreaks in the region.

Southwestern Public Health, the health unit covering St. Thomas, Woodstock and Elgin and Oxford counties, reported just one new COVID-19 case on Sunday, bringing the total to 271.

Meanwhile, provincial health officials reported 566 new cases and processed nearly 39,700 tests.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
